Syncretism disguises pagan practices under new meanings (crescents, trinities, images of cruxes, circumambulation, processions, ravivara (Sun-day) morning services in temples of the Sun, steeples (Sun pillars), domes (shivalingams), bead-praying (tears of Shiva), toasting (lifting a drink offering to demons), divination and necromancy (ancestor worship, making wishes to the queen of heaven carried by smoke after blowing out candles), ancients worship of the host of heaven (zoo animals, or zodiac), and more due to the turning aside to myths, and falling prey to men’s philosophies.
